Frequently asked questions

What withdrawal order does the projection use?
By default: non-registered, then RRIF/RRSP (after RRIF minimums), then TFSA. Phase 2’s withdrawal sequencer compares alternate orders.
Does tax include provincial tax?
Yes for ON, AB, and BC using our 2026 brackets (plus ON surtax and health premium). Quebec provincial tax is approximate (federal only) and shown with a warning. Non-registered withdrawals tax only the capital-gain portion using a tracked adjusted cost base.
What does money lasts to age X mean?
The first age where portfolio balances cannot fund the spending goal (after benefits). Beyond-plan means balances stayed non-negative through your end age.
