Frequently asked questions

What does On track / Tight / Gap mean?
On track means your projected nest egg at retirement is at least ~90% of the amount suggested by a simple 4% withdrawal rule after CPP/OAS. Tight is 70–90%. Gap means below 70% or the plan runs short before your end age.
How is nest egg needed calculated?
We estimate spending not covered by CPP/OAS, then divide by 0.04 (a classic safe-withdrawal rule of thumb). It is illustrative, not a guarantee that 4% withdrawals last forever.
